Gala Kick Off Party Raises Over $20,000 in Support of Sick Kids and Families

A rainy night in Floral Park turned out to be the perfect backdrop to a fabulous Summer Soirée hosted by RMHC New York Metro’s New Hyde Park Advisory Council and 2024 Gala Committee. Over one hundred people showed up in support of families with sick children, and raised over $20,000 which will directly support our programs and services.

On Tuesday, August 6th, guests were warmly welcomed at The Harrison in Floral Park, a beautiful and charming restaurant with superb cocktails and delicious passed hors d’oeuvres. All of this was made possible by RMHC New York Metro Board member Vincent DiRico. A special thank you to all the owners of The Harrison: Vincent DiRico, Steven Kelly, Howie Scott, and Marc Mullen for generously donating this dining experience. DJ Ivan from Drive Up DJs had everybody dancing all night long.

The Summer Soirée saw folks come out in support of the children and families who receive support through Ronald McDonald House Charities. Every year, RMHC New York Metro supports over 7,000 families through the House in New Hyde Park, the two RMHC Family Rooms in Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, and our Hospitality Cart which brings RMHC programs to the bedside to patients and families at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital and Cohen Children’s Medical Center.

Every year, RMHC New York Metro hosts the Annual Gala. The Annual Gala is the most important and significant fundraising event of the year. This year, the Gala will be held on October 10, 2024 at the Lannin in East Meadow.
