Our mission partners play a key role in helping us deliver essential support services to families.
Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro’s mission partners make significant monetary gifts, donate goods, services and resources and volunteer their employees’ time to make sure families can focus on what’s most important—their children.
McDonald’s owner/operators, suppliers, and customers have been with us from the start and contribute to our programs in several meaningful ways. Individual donors and our corporate sponsors contribute significantly, and we are extremely grateful for their support.
McDonalds and its franchisees have supported Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) since it was founded in 1974. The first Ronald McDonald House was opened through partnership between the Philadelphia Eagles and local Philadelphia McDonald’s Franchisees in support of Dr. Audrey Evans—head of the Pediatric Oncology Unit at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia—who dreamed of a house that could serve as a temporary residence and place of respite for families of children being treated at her hospital. Famously, local Philadelphia restaurants sold Shamrock Shakes and proceeds were used to build the first House. Since then, RMHC has grown into a global organization that is active in more than 60 countries and regions around the world, supporting over 260 local RMHC Chapters and over 680 core and local programs.
Communities of corporate partner donors welcome our families and provide financial and in-kind gifts to our charity. Together, we make sure families can focus on what’s most important—their children.
Committed to making sure sick children don’t face the weight of illness alone, our corporate partners make significant monetary gifts, donate goods, services and resources and volunteer their employees’ time.
We hope you are inspired by the courage, hope and strength of the families we serve and will join our Gold, Silver and Bronze Corporate Partners to help us grow to keep more families close.
