Over $250,000 Raised for Sick Families at Annual Golf Outing

On Monday, July 28th, over 100 golfers met up to support families at the at the 2025 Lloyd Frazier Memorial Golf & Tennis Outing. The Outing was held at the North Hempstead Country Club in Port Washington, NY. Guests enjoyed perfect summer weather as we honored Andrew Reade of Reade & Company LLC.

This year, the day kicked off with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start, followed by an afternoon shotgun at 12:30 p.m. Guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast and received their swag bags before hitting the course. After golf, guests had the opportunity to bid on a wide range of silent auction items, including: a Mets gift package, Colonial Springs golf outing, autographs, toy towers, and more!

Attendees enjoyed a wine and candy bar, lunch buffet and more goodies. By the end of the evening, the entire event had raised over $250,000 for RMHC New York Metro Programs.

Supporting Families On and Off the Course

The Lloyd Fraizer Memorial Golf & Tennis Outing benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro and its mission of keeping families close. RMHC provides a home away for families with children receiving care at nearby hospitals. RMHC programs and services that remove barriers, strengthen families and promote healing when children need healthcare.

Matt Campo, CEO of RMHC New York Metro said of the event:

“We are grateful to have the support of so many, including our Board of Directors and honoree Andrew Reade. I want to give a special thanks to our New Hyde Park Golf Committee, chaired by Gerald Laurino. Together, we are making it possible to families to stay close to their sick or injured children.”

– Matt Campo, CEO of RMHC New York Metro

Board Members Eric Blumencranz and Chris Tsaris spoke and thanked our generous sponsors. Former Board Member Andy Laufer kicked off our Fund-A-Need program which raises essential funds that allow us to continue serving families. Every dollar raised will support the over 12,000 families we serve every year.

One of the families we supported this past year attended the Golf Outing Reception as our guest. Tara Norris, along with her parents Colleen and Bill, enjoyed a night out. Tara’s family of six endured four months away from home as their four-year old son, Jack, fought leukemia. Jack is now in remission and happily enjoying summer with his family.
