Growing to Meet the Needs of More Families

For 38 years, RMHC New York Metro and our cornerstone program, Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park, have been creating communities of support to keep families together and near the medical care their ill or injured children need, when they need it most.

We are pleased to present the 2023 Annual Report in which we highlight our impact and commitment to families dealing with a pediatric medical crisis. In 2023, RMHC New York Metro supported families through our three, core programs:

  1. Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park
  2. Two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in Stony Brook Children’s Pediatric and NICU departments
  3. Ronald McDonald Hospitality Cart at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital

“Because of you, we were able to grow our programs and services to help more families receive the support they need while caring for their sick children,”

Looking ahead

The dreams, growth, and commitment continue as the Stony Brook Ronald McDonald House will break ground this year and open its doors in 2026. The Capital Campaign is over 80% funded and we are making steady progress towards our goal. The new Ronald McDonald House in Stony Brook will offer families overnight accommodations, meals, comfort, care, and community. Located just a short walk away from Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, families will be able to stay close to their ill or injured children throughout their hospitalization.

Thank you for your continued support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro as a “home away from home” for ill and injured families.

Get involved

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of RMHC New York Metro. They help families focus on what is most important – the health and well-being of their children. Without the dedication of volunteers, we couldn’t do what we do to support families. If you’d like to make a positive impact on the lives of families in need, please consider volunteering and giving to the RMHC.
