Lloyd Frazier Memorial Golf & Tennis Outing
Honoring Steven Frazier, McDonald’s Owner Operator

About Steven Frazier

Steven Frazier grew up inside McDonald’s. As the child of a McDonald’s Owner/Operator, Steve looked up to his dad and saw how hard he worked to run his businesses, feed his community, and support his family. Steve’s dad, Lloyd Frazier was a hero to Steven—and to many. In 2001, One of Lloyd’s restaurants, located on Greenwich and Chambers Streets in Lower Manhattan, stood a few feet away from the destruction of the terrorist attacks on 9/11. Steven recalls how his dad heroically saved the lives of two first responders that day. For days and weeks after, police officers, fire fighters, and paramedics found refuge in Lloyd’s restaurant, which earned the nickname “Hotel McDonalds.” Ultimately, Lloyd served 700,000 free meals to Ground Zero fire fighters, police officers and rescue workers.

As a young adult, Steven’s own generous spirit, undoubtedly inspired by his father, led him to RMHC New York Metro. In 2008, Steven became involved in RMHC, not just as a McDonald’s Owner/Operator in his own right, but as a philanthropist and champion for families in need. For the last year, Steven has held an active leadership position on the New Hyde Park Advisory Council, organizing events and fundraising. Steven also provides scholarships to Westbury High School students, has funded their Engineering Club and has been recognized for his years of service by both the school and the Town of Hempstead. It’s not uncommon to find Steven handing out vouchers for free Happy Meals to children at a community event or teaching a high school principal how to use the register for a school fundraiser.

Steven embodies compassion by responding to the needs of his community and always leading with his heart. In Steven’s sterling character, we celebrate his father’s legacy. Steven is a hero to the young students who received his scholarship at Westbury High School and to the families who receive continuous care at RMHC because of his support. In the words of almost everyone who knows Steven: “He is just the kindest person you’ll ever meet.”
