Little Hands Helping Little Hands

Hospital social workers and families tell us that being hungry and searching for affordable food at the hospital causes stress. Our Little Hands Helping Little Hands baking program is designed for youth volunteers.

Individuals over the age of six years old are welcome to participate. The program is especially designed for children between the ages of 6 and 16 who are interested in volunteering. Little Hands Helping Little Hands gives local schools and youth organizations the opportunity to volunteer by preparing desserts, such as cookies, cakes, muffins, and other snacks for our resident families.

At RMHC New York Metro, the health and well-being of our guests, families, volunteers and staff are our highest priority. We are closely monitoring the dynamic situation of COVID-19, and we will continue to act thoughtfully to ensure all precautionary steps are taken.

RMHC New York Metro follows strict infectious disease protocols to ensure the safety of our families and staff.

We are in regular contact with our hospital partners and local health authorities who monitor the situation. We have implemented a more frequent schedule for cleaning and disinfecting our common use spaces and have issued guidelines and supplies for our families to do the same.

Should the need arise, we will take additional action to protect our staff and the families we serve.
