The Meals from the Heart Program Gives Families Strength

Hospital social workers and families tell us that being hungry and searching for affordable, nutritious food at the hospital causes stress. Also, Moms and Dads tell us they enjoy spending time together during meals because it seems “normal” when everything they are going through is far from it.

Volunteers for Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro’s Meals from the Heart program prepare hot brunch and dinner, so families have the nourishment and strength they need to tackle another day.

At RMHC New York Metro, the health and well-being of our guests, families, volunteers and staff are our highest priority. We are closely monitoring the dynamic situation of COVID-19, and we will continue to act thoughtfully to ensure all precautionary steps are taken.

RMHC New York Metro follows strict infectious disease protocols to ensure the safety of our families and staff.

We are in regular contact with our hospital partners and local health authorities who monitor the situation. We have implemented a more frequent schedule for cleaning and disinfecting our common use spaces and have issued guidelines and supplies for our families to do the same.

Should the need arise, we will take additional action to protect our staff and the families we serve.
